Ellen (Durning) Driscoll is a certified K-12 Latin teacher seeking a full-time teaching position in New York City. She recently completed her graduate education at Duquesne University (M.S.Ed., December 2008) and studied Classics and Art History at University of Pittsburgh (B.A., 2006).
Prior to finding her way to formal education, Ellen taught art for three years at The Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, PA and The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, NM. She is the recipient of scholarships from The Kappa Delta Foundation, The Classics Department of Duquesne University, and The American Classical League. As both a student and teacher, Ellen has been active in the Junior Classical League (JCL) since 1998.
Ellen is very passionate about teaching, and her other interests include community, the arts, and NPR. Ellen is interested in relocating to NYC in 2009 with her very-soon-to-be husband, visual artist Padraic Driscoll.
